"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense

I am super into Flamingos at the moment. Nathan showed me a picture he took of a Roseate Spoonbill - ummmm super love! So, my new summer art is going to be based around these lovely pink birds.


I was asked to paint a ornament for a Christmas themed festival back in December. I was given an angel and this is what I turned it in to...
Flamingos need candy cane tights- obviously!

Then I decided that I would paint for my students while they were doing their artwork in class. I copied a John James Audubon flamingo.... it's a work in progress and my students have enjoyed watching the process

Everything tastes better in our new home :)

Nathan and I have a gigantic list of DIY projects for the new house. So, I'll post pictures on here every time we finish one.
So far dinners have been very good- very close to cooking at the cabin (EVERYTHING TASTES BETTER AT THE CABIN)

Although Caits and Steve were the first ones to join us for dinner at the new digs our first dinner guests were Chris and Kris last night.

On the menu:
Quick dill pickles
Grilled pork tenderloin with mustard dill sauce
Grilled artichokes w/
Sweet pea aioli
Chocolate dipped dried apricots






This recipe was a KEEPER!
Sweet Pea Aioli
juice from half a lemon
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup mayo
salt
pepper
a few basil leaves
1/2 cup sweet green peas
blend all ingredients in food processer.
